Mount Eliza Secondary is a learning community focused on ensuring that our students are happy and prepared to strive for excellence in learning.
Our curriculum is underpinned by the Victorian Curriculum and enables students to undertake a variety of subjects from different domains.
Our Senior Pathways Program offers a breadth of subjects and pathways to cater for all student interests in the senior years including the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or the Victorian Certificate of Education – Vocational Major (VCE VM). Vocational Educational Training in schools (VETDSS) is available to all students in Years 10-12.
Detailed information regarding the Senior Pathways Program can be found in the below links:
Students develop confidence through developing their skills in performing and visual arts, and learn to appreciate new forms of human expression in these art forms.
An appreciation of Design developed through application and skill is essential for a rich and meaningful life and can lead to a range of unique, productive careers.
Our aim is to produce literate and articulate students who can express themselves equally as well in the spoken and written forms of our language.
Physical and health education aims to empower students to understand and appreciate the value of being physically active while developing the motivation for making healthy and informed life choices.
To become engaged citizens it is important that students have fundamental understandings about how we organise and govern our societies, how we interact with our environments and how these have changed over time.
The study of additional languages provides students with the opportunity to develop insights into the features, processes and craft of language and the concept of culture, and to realize that there are diverse ways of living, behaving and viewing the world.
Essential skills in numeracy to advanced mathematical skills are taught across our broad ranging Maths program.
Our Science courses aim to tap into student curiosity about their world. As a result there is a strong emphasis on practical classes in addition to learning how to communicate scientific information.
We want students to grow into their identities and become the best versions of themselves.
We display confidence, energy and fresh thinking, sharing our passion for our subjects.
We provide a stimulating school environment where students can learn, live, love and grow.
